Music Festival Extended to Three Days
Los Angeles-based Insomniac announced that its much anticipated 15th Annual Electric Daisy Carnival will be held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Additionally, Insomniac has added a third day to the festival, extending the event dates from Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25 to also include Sunday, June 26.
“Given their history of success managing the large crowds and complex programming of NASCAR, there is no organization and venue more perfectly suited for this event than Las Vegas Motor Speedway,” said Insomniac founder, Pasquale Rotella. “We have partnered with a great venue, booked world-renowned artists and we are working to build the 15th Electric Daisy Carnival into a unique and incredible fan experience.”
Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 1,000-acre complex which hosts some of the most popular events in the United States, including NASCAR.
“We’re excited to be working with Insomniac to stage the Electric Daisy Carnival,” said Chris Powell, president of LVMS. “Today’s announcement is great news for the Las Vegas community, as EDC will create a significant boost to our local economy.
“We at the speedway specialize in promoting and staging mega-events, and EDC certainly qualifies as a mega-event. Also, we’re quite happy with the relationship we’ve forged with our friends at Insomniac, who’ve displayed years of experience and unparalleled creativity. I know they’re the proper partners to help create an event that is entertaining, safe and successful.”
Tickets for this three-day experience go on sale at noon Pacific Time on Saturday, April 23, 2011. Additional event information, including official hotel accommodations and artist announcements, will be released shortly.
